To better prepare students for the computer-based format of the USMLE, the format and options of this website have been designed to resemble that of the USMLE exams.
- The page layout mimics that of the USMLE. You will see the questions appear one by one, with navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen that are identical to those on the USMLE.
- A timer simulates the time constraints imposed by the USMLE.
- A "Review Answers" button allows you to see all your answers, including unanswered questions, and skip to specific questions.
A notable difference between this website and the USMLE is that you have the option of showing the correct answer and feedback (if available) on each question. This may be viewed at any time.
Additionally, feedback from students prompted the addition of new features, such as:
- The ability to mark questions you guessed on, with a readout of how well you did on those questions
- The computer tracks changed answers and tells you how much you should trust your "gut instinct."
